Jacob Mbiza started his professional career at ABB South Africa in 2008 for a period of 11 years. During this period, he held different roles for different projects such as the Eskom Matla power station C&I refurbishment, Eskom Arnot Power station water treatment plant E&CI refurbishment, Eskom Tutuka Power station unit 6 return to service, Eskom Duvha power station HMI upgrade.
He joined the renewable industry in 2012 and was part of the ABB EPC team for construction of the 81MW Khathi Solar Park in the Northern Cape. He then joined the ABB EPC team for the commissioning of Soutpan and Witkop Solar Parks in Limpopo and later joined the ABB O&M team for the 2 plants as a technical specialist.
He is currently the Site Manager at Boshof Solar Plant for Globeleq South Africa Management Services
