JBAY WIND FARM MTB CLASSIC AND TRAIL RUN CANCELLED

Race organizers of the JBay Wind Farm MTB Classic have announced the cancellation of this much loved event due to emergency prohibitions for events and gatherings of more than 100 people, as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa, 15 March 2020.

“We are disappointed to have to cancel this event that brings our communities together each year, but due to the size of the event and the associated health risks, the event is not viable,” said Pieter Oosthuizen, Managing Director of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm, title sponsors of the event.

The eighth JBay Wind Farm MTB Classic and Trail Run was scheduled to take place at Twin Valley Estate on Saturday 13 June 2020.

A number of major events in South Africa and across the globe have been cancelled over the last few weeks, to prevent the spread of COVID_19 which has already claimed thousands of lives globally.
